Our Story

Future Climate Collective was inspired by a deeply personal experience. In 2024, a massive winter storm devastated Portland, Oregon, forcing our founders and their families to evacuate their home. While sheltering, they had a heart-to-heart conversation with their young boys about climate change.

Their questions—about what the future holds and how they could find hope—sparked an idea: what if we could give every child the knowledge and tools to navigate a changing world with confidence?

That vision became Future Climate Collective: an organization rooted in resilience, optimism, and the belief that young people are the key to a sustainable future.

About Future Climate Collective

We believe that building a sustainable future begins with empowering the next generation through climate literacy.

Future Climate Collective is a non-profit initiative dedicated to equipping high school students with the knowledge, skills, and resilience needed to navigate the challenges of a changing climate. By providing comprehensive, standards-aligned curriculum and fostering cross-disciplinary learning, we enable young people to think critically, act decisively, and lead the way toward systemic change.

Through interactive modules, teacher support, and resilience-building programs, we aim to make climate science accessible and actionable for students, educators, and communities alike. Our vision is a world where every student is prepared not only to adapt to climate realities but also to inspire hope and drive solutions for a thriving, sustainable future.

We do this because we believe that informed and empowered youth are key to turning today’s challenges into opportunities for tomorrow. Together, we can ensure that the future is bright, resilient, and inclusive.
